Mould making at Hongqiang Mould covers the tool types export buyers source most often. Every tool is built to customer drawings and to the standards named in the RFQ.

H&Q toolmaking floor
The toolmaking floor – milling, EDM, grinding and fitting in one line.
Injection Moulds
General-purpose plastic injection moulds for parts of small to medium complexity: single and multi-cavity tools, with conforming ejection, cooling and runner layouts chosen per part.
Automotive Moulds
Interior and exterior component moulds built against customer Part Approval workflows. Dimensional reports and trial documentation are prepared to match the approval process agreed in the RFQ.
Medical & Electronics Moulds
High-precision moulds for medical device components and consumer electronics housings, where surface finish, tolerance control and clean part handling drive the tool design.
Specialized Moulds: 2K, Hot Runner, Stack & Export
Two-shot (2K) moulds for multi-material parts, hot runner systems for runner-less production, stack moulds for thin-wall high-cavity programs, and export moulds prepared for shipment and commissioning at the customer site.
Tooling Process & Standards
A typical tooling program runs: RFQ and drawing review – DFM and quotation – tool design – steel ordering and machining – fitting and assembly – trials and sampling – shipment. Design and inspection follow the standards you specify in the RFQ.
Mould Steels & Components
Standard and hardened mould steels are selected per part and lifetime target. Steel certificates and component brands are confirmed in the quotation, so what you approve is what you get.
Inside the Toolroom

450T injection molding
JSW 450-ton press with take-out robot – one of 11 presses from 80 to 450 T covering production programs of all sizes.
CNC milling
5 CNC machines run programmed roughing and finishing on mould steel.

EDM (spark erosion)
Spark erosion cuts sharp details and deep ribs in hardened steel.
Surface grinding
Surface grinding gives plates and cores flat, parallel references.

Copper electrodes
Copper electrodes cut the details EDM finishes in hardened steel.
Multi-cavity plate
A multi-cavity plate assembled and checked before mould trials.

Core & ejector assembly
Cores, cavities and ejector systems assembled at the fitting bench.
Mould storage
Customer moulds are stored, maintained and serviced between runs.

Related reading: steel and lead time
Mould steel follows from the resin brief, and the lead time clock starts at drawing review – not at the purchase order. Two field notes from our tooling team explain both decisions: how glass-filled and recycled resins change mould steel selection, and when the 45-day mould lead time clock actually starts.
